Creating a world where no Canadian fears cancer
With that being said, I was very excited to attended Nadia's yearly Toast for the cure fashion show and silent auction. The night was filled with so much talent, love and support. I can only speak for myself but I was very excited to see all the performances. Here are a few of the fashion lines and performances I saw that evening.
Jamal Lamar aka JL, is a singer, song writer and dancer. I can confidently say that not only did I enjoy his performance but the crowd did as well. My favorite song that he sang was the one he personally wrote for his girlfriend. I wish I could remember the name of the song but I thought his performance was very genuine and from the heart. Good job JL, I hope to see you on the tv screen soon!
Fame kills was spotted once again! Jared, the designer of fame kills, showcased his line to help support the cause. We even saw one of our favorite models, Daniel - the one who did the Shia Lebouf inspiration, strutted his stuff twice for three different designers!
This is Tammy. She is a volunteer of the cancer society. She shared a bit of her story and explain how she became apart of this movement.
- On March 15th 2004, Tammy was diagnose with uterine sarcoma cancer at the age of 34. She was told that she was already into the fourth stage and that she would be lucky if she makes it to April. So immediately she started the necessary treatments and thankfully with her families support and her faith she manged to beat the cancer. It has now been 10 years and Tammy is healthy and cancer free, proving that you can fight cancer and truly be fearless.
