Art is not so much expressing oneself, as it is discovering oneself.." - Anawanitia
First event of the new year and I had the pleasure of deciding what it would be. Selfishly, being the artsy lover that I am, I wanted us to go to something artistic, creative or cultural.
This past weekend, Liz, her friend Chris and I got the chance to check out Nuit Blanche . For those who don't know what Nuit Blanche is, it's an all- night event in heart of our city ( downtown Toronto) that transforms our streets into a museum. With art projects created by hundreds of artists, Nuit balanche is a true testament to how multi-cultural our city really is. I don't want to bore you guys to death lol, so here are the pictures below, they can speak for themselves!
If you don't know by now, let me spell it out for you TORONTO HAS TALENT. The proof is in the pictures, at Designers Closet's 5th Annual Autumn/Winter 2014-15 fashion show. It was a night full of strictly fashion, music, drinks and surprises. We had always heard about this event but it wasn't until this year we decided to see the show for ourselves. Let me just say the event was great. The vast display of local talent was impressive. It was the perfect social event to end the summer. Everyone was looking superb. The night showcased collections from 7 amazing local designers, Anna Fora| Beaucoup-Fashion House| KristenJessica| A.Seera| KWESIYA| Nuamah| LOSTXTRNLTION, as well as a few local entrepreneurs.
Scroll down below to see some of the shots we took that night.
'TIl next time, keep smiling.
