In the beginning we had a few challenges, like going down the steep hill without injuring ourselves or the camera, and staying out of reach from poison ivy. The adventure didn’t really start until after we made it down the hill and started following the water current upstream. I’m not a clumsy person but I’m far from graceful so, trying to balance on the rocks to get across wasn’t a piece of cake for me. My sneakers got soaked from some of my failed attempts. Nonetheless, it was all worth it being able to see the falls up close. It was refreshingly beautiful. I tried to soak it all in as much as I could, but the water was ice cold and I afraid of slipping off the rocks. Overall, exploring Hamilton’s Albion Falls, one of the many parks and monuments in our backyards, made my day. Even though, on our way back we realized that there was an easier route to get to the falls, which involved stairs. If we knew before had, we would of saved 30 minutes of taking the hard way down.
If any of you guys are interested in visiting Albion Falls, located at 885 Mountain Brow Boulevard in Hamilton, I would suggest you guys take the more accessible route, with the stairs.
