A few weeks ago my mom and I decided to buy tickets for Winterlicious. For those of you who do not know what Winterlicious is...
its a food festival held every year in Toronto during the first two weeks of February. Various restaurants participate in this festival where they provide a prefixed menu that includes one appetizers, entrée and dessert at a slightly more reduced rate.
When I stepped into the restaurant it had a very romantic ambiance. The lights from the chandeliers were dim and flowers were places all in the right spots. The hospitality was amazing and the atmosphere was so true to the Italian culture that for a second I forgot we were in Toronto. Not to mention the food! Everything that came out was clearly fresh. I really enjoyed my mothers' entrée most of all, the "Linguine all’Anatr"-Linguine Smoked Duck and Mushrooms In a White Truffle Oil and Veal Cream Sauce. The duck with the cream sauce complemented the dish so well! Although Winterlious is over, I would definitely suggest stopping by this restaurant for a bite to eat, you will not regret it!
